Vocals - SARAH COLLYER
Blue magic Jazz welcome one of the scenes most honest jazz interpreters.Sarah Collyer is an accomplished singer/songwriter and musician who has performed throughout Australia. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Music, with honours in jazz voice from James Cook University and a Master of Music Studies in jazz voiceand vocal pedagogy from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. Sarah also works as a voice coach and performer, performing regularly both as a solo artist and with her band, performing originals, jazz standards and covers.
While her natural good looks and sweet demeanor draw audiences,
it's the passion and emotion in her vocal delivery that keeps them listening.
Saxophone - XAVIER MINALI
Xavier brings enormous energy and fire to the group.
His sound is full of authority, powerful and moving; when he puts the sax to his lips he gets every foot tapping and every hand clapping.
Piano - WADE GREGORY
Blue Magic's youngest member, Wade provides sympathetic accompaniment to Vanessa and Xavier whilst swinging the rhythm section.
He loves to play in this quintet! The softly spoken pianist is from the Bill Evans "school" of Jazz, and the influence can be heard in many of his solos.
Wade is well versed in music having had played jazz on 3 continents. His versatile piano is the perfect driving force for Blue Magic's sound.

Charged with swinging the band, Timothy pushes the soloists to greater heights while giving listeners their dancing rhythms!
The art of jazz brushes is one of which he is a dedicated student and his brushwork is a big part of the Blue Magic Jazz sound.
Timothy loves to interact with the piano and often switches to hands for the group's latin and afro cuban numbers.
